Hello Again, from Somewhere Between the Moving Boxes and the Monsters

If you haven't heard...the 'real' Grey Sisters and I are getting ready to move. 😍

The girls are handling the moving preparations about as well as illustrated...but the actual move is something they are genuinely so excited about.

Leaving behind our home and heading on to the next is definitely an emotional experience, which will be reflected in the story at some point.

Probably.

Because let me tell you, writing Book Five of the Grey Sisters Saga while surrounded by mountains and chasms of boxes, living in and out of suitcases, has been both an inspiration and a headache.

It varies day to day. 😅

But you best believe—packing and methods of packing and more unpacking will be referenced in Book Five more than once...

Okay. Maybe somewhere around 36 times? 🤦🏼‍♀️ Sneak a peek for yourself...

I guess due to the fact that the saga has always been essentially just one big road trip, it can only benefit from some more first hand experience, right?

Especially since we have zero intentions of staying in the area...for the Dark One and her minions have made this place their home, and Greys are neither safe nor welcome here.

So, our own cross-country road trip can only enhance the series.

And we cannot wait to get out of here.

Speaking of the next adventure...

In between packing boxes, culling the darkness lurking among our things, and wondering how on earth we survived here this long, I've been steadily making my way toward the end of Seraphina Grey and the Reaper. ✨

Book Five is almost finished! 🥰

I can't tell you everything that's waiting for the girls in this next adventure, but I can promise that (unlike the 'real' Grey Sisters and I) getting out of town isn't going to solve all their problems.

Cole is fixed, but Phoenix is heartbroken. And Logan's Uncle Jasper is coming to dinner...

And while I'm busy trying to remember where I left the packing tape, the Grey Sisters have much more important things to remember...hopefully before it's too late...

Now might be a particularly good time to revisit the saga. Because everything is connected. And if the Grey Sisters don't remember something important...maybe you will. 😉

So that's where we are at the moment...

Somewhere between saying goodbye to the worst memories, packing a pocketful of good ones, and ready to get the heck out of Dodge. All the while finishing a book about two sisters who really can't seem to catch a break. Seriously. Five pages to breathe. Is that too much to ask? 🤨

Kindle Unlimited...

So much has been happening here at Courcy Camp behind the scenes, and I can't wait to share it all with you in the upcoming weeks!!

But first! Book four in the Grey Sisters Saga, Phoenix Grey Forges a Blade was released on May 7th (in honor of a very special someone's birthday) and so far it seems like everyone is loving the book as much as I do. Yay!! I'm so glad that the story is resonating with all of you in all the ways I'd hoped.

Seriously. This book is everything to me. Hah! As of this moment—it is truly my favorite.

Now...about Kindle Unlimited...

There is a big upcoming change to my publishing strategy that I wanted to share with you...the books (and possibly all future books) will be enrolling into Kindle Unlimited sometime in the next few weeks. I really did struggle with this decision—especially because I have one Google Play Aussie reader (you know who you are 😅) that I just adore every time I see them pick up a new book in the series—but I think that by enrolling in KU, the series will reach a lot more teenage readers. We will see how that goes.

Okay. How funny is it that the day I'm ready to update the blog...it is a year after the last post?? Gosh.

First...apologies for the silence. I have a million (valid) excuses, but I don't want to list them all. So let's just jump right into the updates...

"This story...was a long time coming. And I'm so very sorry it's taken me so long to get it to you. But honestly, I could not be happier with how it turned out. It's weird to say but I'm so proud of it. I don't usually come out and say those kind of things (at least it feels like I don't hah!) but...I feel like I needed to acknowledge that. Like with Blood Farm, I tried not to be so obvious with the Carnival of Nightmares. We tend to think of nightmares as simply things that scare us...but I truly believe our real fears are rooted in an avoidance of truth. They need to be contemplated so that they can be conquered. Seraphina Grey Summons a Demon hit #1 Best Seller in YA Monster Fiction & #2 Best Seller in YA Coming of Age Fantasy on Amazon. It was an amazing experience, and I'm so grateful for all the love everyone has shown the series.

September 24th...

And then Dark Reflections earned two #1 Best Seller tags on Amazon. YA Ghost Stories and Monster Fiction which was completely unexpected and such a happy day.

And then March 29th...

I finished the final draft of book four of the Grey Sisters Saga... Phoenix Grey Forges a Blade 💛

Completing this book... It was the most incredible experience of my writing career.

It is crazy to say that because you'd think all the best seller Amazon tags would've been better...

But, no.

Finishing Blade tops everything thus far.

It was literally my favorite book to write. I love everything about it. Absolutely everything. This book...gah.

I just love it.

It is with the editor now, and I'm hoping for a late April release 🥰

Newsletter Update...

At the end of the summer, I will not be renewing my service provider so...although I will still be sending out newsletter emails...it will be directly from my email and not through the service.

This means, no more automated sign-ups for new subscribers and the emails won't be as fancy. I apologize for that. But hopefully you'll still enjoy them.

And...yeah. I think that's it.

A lot of personal stuff going on...but I'll save that for the next newsletter email...which should be sent out sometime this week.
